Introducing Attadale SOEL, the newest addition to the Schools Of Early Learning family! We’re excited to welcome South of Perth families to our new centre, which officially opened on August 1st! We spoke with Kristy and Antoinette, the centre managers, about how the children, families, and educators are settling in.

Parents absolutely love it! They frequently comment on the abundance of natural light and the beautiful garden spaces filled with trees. Furthermore, they also appreciate how Attadale SOEL preserved key features of the original building, such as the wooden floorboards, the cross in the baby room, and the bell tower.

The close-knit Attadale community, with its rich local history, has warmly welcomed Attadale SOEL. We’ve received wonderful feedback from visitors, including local church members, grandparents who attended school in the area, and couples who were married at the former church. The care and respect SOEL has shown to the building’s heritage has been greatly appreciated.

We follow the ‘small group’ philosophy, staggering enrolment dates to allow educators to build meaningful relationships with each child. This approach has been invaluable, ensuring that the children feel secure and develop a sense of belonging in their new environment.

Children of all ages are delighted by the shared garden spaces. They enjoy working with our chef, Shalini, to harvest vegetables from the garden, which are then incorporated into their meals. These nature-based experiences are a highlight for the children.

Many of our experienced SOEL educators have transitioned to the Attadale SOEL centre, making implementing SOEL’s core philosophies easier from the start. Our new educators have also settled in beautifully, often praising the natural light, spacious rooms, and calming atmosphere the centre provides.
