Passionate about Early Childhood Education & Care?
Here’s what you’ll experience working with SOEL:
Working for Recognised Industry Leaders
SOEL has a commitment to high-quality, challenging, internationally grounded, play-based education that we believe is the most important thing for our children. Additionally, we actively seek recognition and validation for all of our staff.
Becoming Part of a Family-Run Business
Children have always been at the heart of what we do, ever since we opened our first centre in 1974.
Our philosophy and practice is influenced by the Municipal Schools of Reggio Emilia, Rudolf Steiner and Maria Montessori, as well as our own observations and interactions.
Working with the Best
Work alongside passionate and like-minded individuals who live and breathe pedagogical development in a truly collaborative manner with children’s best interests always being the focus.
“Staff are continually supported and provided with many fabulous opportunities for their own personal development and training, allowing them to maintain a reflective practice and to grow within the centre.”
– Emily, Studio Coordinator at Subiaco SOEL
Meaningful Learning Environments
We know that the environment is the third teacher – so our learning environments are all intentionally designed to facilitate children’s sense of agency, stimulate their imagination and creativity, and give them a place to explore, discover, express themselves, learn and grow.
What a Real Atelier Studio Space is All About
All of our centres have dedicated Atelier Studio spaces incorporated into their design. Children’s skills and abilities in drawing, painting, clay work, textiles and multi-media are facilitated by Fine Art Degree Qualified educators working collaboratively with you.
Team Support
We support and value our educators’ ongoing professional learning. Team Meetings for every room are held away from the children, inside work hours and are attended by Managers, Studio and Pedagogical Co-ordinators.
As a SOEL employee you will be exposed to ongoing professional development opportunities including monthly in-house training that will help you grow as a professional and reflect on your own practice.
We value this training enough to pay you for it and supply a meal.
